Three ways to work with Unnayan Uddog: as staff, as a volunteer, or as a fundraiser.
Job
Work with a team that has been building development programmes from inside rural communities since 1997.
Unnayan Uddog recruits programme officers, credit officers, trainers, field supervisors and field organizers for its head office in Uttara and its four project offices. Positions are announced as projects begin, and preference is given to candidates who are willing to live and work in the communities they serve.
There are no vacancies listed at the moment. To be considered when a position opens, send your CV with a covering letter stating the kind of work you are interested in.
Volunteers
The organization was founded on the belief that a community's own teachers, students and organizers are its best development workers.
Volunteers support the Executive Director in running daily activities alongside the staff. Students and teachers of schools and colleges, members of cultural organizations and youth clubs, and professionals who can offer their skills part-time are all welcome.
Volunteering opportunities include tutoring at the non-formal primary education schools, helping with awareness campaigns on safe water, sanitation and child rights, assisting at the Computer Training Centre, and supporting the Nari Kendra artisans with design and marketing.
Fundraiser
Raise funds for a programme you believe in — and learn how to do it well.
Unnayan Uddog has been teaching grant writing and fundraising to NGO professionals for years. We welcome individuals, alumni groups, workplaces and community organizations who want to run an appeal or an event for one of our programmes.
Tell us which programme you would like to support — education, microfinance, healthcare, Nari Kendra or another — and we will provide the case for support, programme costings and progress reports for your supporters.
Prefer to give?
No amount of money is too small if it is for a charity purpose. Every contribution goes into programmes run directly by Unnayan Uddog in the communities it serves.
