Unnayan Uddog's environmental commitment — expressed for decades through social forestry, organic agriculture and safe water — extends to promoting renewable energy in the communities where it works.
The solar energy initiative focuses on making clean electricity available to off-grid and poorly served rural households, so that homes have light for children to study by, small enterprises can extend their working hours, and dependence on kerosene is reduced.
